A hand-carved elephant made from wood sourced at a local park and a strip of veneer in the middle.

A hand-carved elephant made from wood sourced at a local park and a strip of veneer in the middle.
I decided on a light wood found from a large broken branch for this little elephant. After planing off the bark, I discovered a beautiful grain in the wood. I chose to use this grain on one side of the elephant to subtly highlight how magnificent this animal is.
